8. Location Data and Background Tracking
EyEagle is a safety and emergency response platform. To ensure user safety, our application requires access to location data (both precise and coarse).
Background Location: If you grant background location permissions ("Allow all the time" / "Always"), EyEagle accesses your device's location in the background even when the app is running in the background exclusively when an emergency SOS is active or when you are broadcasting an emergency response. This ensures your trusted contacts can pinpoint your location during critical situations without requiring the screen to stay awake.
Control & Revocation: You can enable, disable, or adjust location permissions at any time through your device settings (Settings > Apps > EyEagle > Permissions > Location). Please note that disabling location permissions may prevent emergency contacts from receiving your real-time location during an SOS.
